ARIN Fee’s Increase for Registeration Service Members

At its April 27 meeting, the ARIN Board of Trustees approved a 5% increase to Registration Services Plan fees for 2026. The adjustment supports ARIN’s long-term financial strategy to align operating costs with revenue while maintaining strict cost controls through 2030.

ARIN maintains a 5% cap on annual fee increases, as part of a stated commitment to predictable, stable pricing for members. This is ARIN’s policy through at least 2030.

For 2026: Temporary IPv6 Waiver for 3X-Small Category

If you’re in the 3X-Small category, you can get more IPv6 space—up to a /36 block—without paying a higher fee. You’ll still pay only the 3X-Small annual fee ($262.50 in 2025, $275 in 2026), even if you use more IPv6 than normally allowed.

This special rule ends December 31, 2026. After that, using more than a /40 of IPv6 space will move you to a higher fee category.

ARIN Transactional Fees Remain Unchanged from 2025:

  • ASN issuance: $550 per ASN
  • ASN annual fee (for ASN-only holders): $150
  • Organization Create: $50
  • Organization Recovery: $100
  • Transfer processing fees (migration, mergers, inter-ARIN region transfers): $500, source pays
  • STLS listing (source or recipient, one-time): $100
  • STLS facilitator (annual): $1,000
  • Premier Support Plan (for XL or smaller): $5,000 annually

Understanding Annual vs. Transactional Fees

Annual Registration Services Plan (RSP) Fees:

These are recurring yearly fees paid by organizations based on the total amount of IPv4, IPv6, and ASN resources they hold. The annual fee covers ARIN’s core registry services, including resource management, support, and policy participation. The amount an organization pays depends on the “service category” determined by the size of their address blocks and number of ASNs.

One-Time Transactional Fees:

In addition to annual fees, ARIN charges separate one-time fees for specific transactions. These include transferring address blocks to another organization, ASN issuance, mergers and acquisitions, and certain listing or facilitation services. Transactional fees are paid only when a specific action occurs and do not recur annually.
