Project Scope
Rehmann Technology Solutions came into the public IPv4 addresses over 30 years ago, when we owned and operated an Internet Service Provider and managed a data center. The physical data center and infrastructure resources and that portion of our business were retired over 5 years ago. At the same time, our team began receiving from other organizations who were interested in purchasing our IPv4 addresses. Thus we embarked onto a multi-year project to readdress, migrate and ultimately prepare portions of our /16 IPv4 subnet to be sold every year.
Finding a Partner and Solution
During our research, we discovered Brander Group as a firm that assist with monetizing IPv4 addressses. They stood out in our research as a firm with most relevant experience, which was very important to us.

The proceeds from the sale created an opportunity for Rehmann Technology Solutions to invest in other projects around the firm. One of the major projects included moving the organizations infrastructure from physical data centers to a hybrid cloud environment. This was critical in our digital transformation strategy.
